Dakota has shot for non-profit organizations such as DaVerse Lounge and Big Thought in Deep Ellum. He also shoots the city of Hurst events that they host for example: Hurst Tree Lighting, 4th of July Stars & Stripes, and Eggstravaganza. Dakota also does freelance work such as covering Indycar races for Lincoln Tech, or create a documentary for Pyware.
FILM
Dakota has been making short films for 10 years and improves on his skills with every creative work he make. Being around the camera is what Dakota loves, wheter it's directing or cinematography. Dakota is also proficcient in editing and writing as he does both on the majority of his works.
Besides narrative story telling, Dakota likes create real stories through documentaries. Whether observational or done with interviews, they are topics he finds interesting but tell a story that's easy to connect with. Dakota is beginning to work on his new documentary that he will shoot in spring of 2017 about storm chasers.
Dakota has used photography for over ten years as a hobby but will shoot events or documentation photos. He uses photography to practice his different lighting skills and loves taking pictures of nature and the outdoors. Dakota tries to have a camera with him at all times whether it be his phone or a DSLR, he can't pass up a chance to capture a moment. He does not do wedding photography.
